A Burden Shared
We don't usually ask for donations for needs such as those mentioned below.  In the past we have simply done what we could to help our dear friends in other countries.  However, we are especially burdened by these urgent needs in our family of Nicaraguan partners.  We are trying to help each of the families mentioned below.  We were already trying to find the money to buy Pastor Martin a reliable 4-wheel drive vehicle so he could reach his cell groups and church plants in the off road areas around San Rafael del Sur.  Now we are wanting to add these three very serious needs to that.

Give what you can and pray all you can.  We will use it to help these families.  (Hmmmm.  Sounds like something I read somewhere in the first three chapters of Acts.)

Illness Yet to be Diagnosed

Sweet little Martin, the namesake of his dad, Pastor Martin Paiz is in the hospital in Managua undergoing a series of tests.  The doctors suspect some sort of blood disorder or an infection of the heart.  New Jerusalem Baptist Church in San Rafael del Sur has granted the pastor 2-weeks off to be with his son as they undergo the series of needed tests.

While most routine care is provided by the government, these special tests and part of the expenses of hospitalization are not provided.

Emergency Surgery Leads to Rescheduling a Ministry Event

Our friend and great partner, Pastor Armando required emergency surgery this week.  The details of his condition are sketchy at the moment, but the word we have is he will require 3-4 weeks for recovery.  We have decided to cancel the June 13th event scheduled at Hermon Baptist Church.  After our friend recovers we will reschedule this event for a later date, hopefully this year.

Ocar's Mother Losing Her Sight

Oscar is one our Nicaraguan teammates.  He was an important part of our teams in San Rafael del Sur in April and in Las Maderas in early May.

His mom has lost the sight in one eye and is in danger of losing the sight in her other eye.  Please pray for her, Oscar and Oscar's dad (who is a pastor) as they care for her.  She is under medical care, but there are some medical challenges here in Nicaragua.
